d9-comm-conversationThe first D9 Community Conversation of 2017 focuses on trees and, specifically, the Public Tree Ordinance which I have co-sponsored and which will soon be considered by Metro Council. Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton is the other co-sponsor.  The full ordinance is here. Two Courier-Journal articles about the proposed ordinance are here and here. If you cannot attend the Community Conversation next week,  let us know what you think at Bill Hollander.

Louisville Metro Urban Forester, Erin Thompson, will be present at Tuesday’s D9 meeting, along with Cindi Sullivan of TreesLouisville and Jessica Pendergrass of Louisville Grows. Sullivan and Pendergrass will be discussing the significant tree-planting efforts of the non-profit organizations they lead.

As with all D9 Community Conversations, discussion of any other subjects is welcome and I will be available to talk with constituents about any questions, comments or concerns.  Mark your calendar – and bring along a friend or neighbor. The D9 Community Conversation will begin at 6:30 p.m. United Crescent Hill Ministries is located at 150 S. State Street in Clifton.
